Equitas Welcomes New Head of Social
Equitas, the community-driven equestrian platform, is excited to announce the appointment of a new head of social team Rachel MacKenzie, who brings with her a passion for making a difference and a commitment to growing the Equitas community and brand online.
"Rachel has already made such an impact within Equitas through the Community Team but we are so excited to see her step into the role of 'Head of Social'," said Sarah Elebert of Equitas. "We know Rachel will excel in this field and we can't wait to see her creative mind flourish. We are extremely proud to have her on board."
"When I was asked to join Equitas, I had no idea what it would mean to me," said the new head of the social team. "I want my little girl to grow up knowing that I am actively trying to make a difference, and if she does end up being horsey, that she will enter into a community that helps you grow, a sport that is an even playing field and if she wants to further her education or career, then I want there to be clear pathways".
Equitas is an online media brand and community for women around the world in the equine industry. The new head of the social team expressed her excitement to join Equitas and be a part of such an amazing community. "Equitas is something I didn't know I was looking for, and something I'd not want to be without now," she said.
As the head of the social team, Rachel plans to use social media for to build awareness for Equitas, promote the values of Equitas, and drive growth online. "I will play my part to grow our amazing community, face the big issues head-on, and where appropriate facilitate education and of course a little entertainment!" she stated.
