April: Stress Awareness Month and Equitas' Second Annual #StressAffectsUsAll Campaign
This April, Equitas is excited to bring back our #StressAffectsUsAll campaign for its second year. Our mission is straightforward: to highlight the realities of stress within the equestrian community and to offer real, actionable solutions. We're here to support every woman in the equine industry, acknowledging the unique pressures we face and providing tools to manage stress effectively.
What's the Goal?
The #StressAffectsUsAll campaign is built on the understanding that while stress is a common part of our lives, especially in such a demanding field, it doesn't have to be a barrier to our success or well-being. We aim to shed light on the often-unspoken stressors in the equestrian world and foster a community of support and resilience.
What to Expect This Month
Over the next four weeks, we're rolling out a series of events and resources designed to educate, inspire, and empower our community to tackle stress head-on.
- Some of what you can expect to see will be in the form of Instagram livestreams with industry experts. These guests will be with women who are renowned in their fields and cover areas such as mindfulness and meditation, as well as sharing their insights on the coping mechanisms around managing stress both personally and professionally.
- On Equitas.ie, we will be publishing themed articles, personal stories to inspire and educate and practical, actionable tools that can be implemented if / when you may need them. While all pieces will be tailored to our equestrian lifestyles, they can absolutely be applied to all aspects and areas of our busy lives.
- We will also introduce the RideWithMe initiative, encouraging members to share their stress-relieving rides and connect over shared experiences.
- The campaign culminates in a special online event designed to bring our community together and we'll wrap up the month with a focus on moving forward, equipped with new tools and a stronger support network.
