Queens of Media: Welcoming Kitty Trice

Equitas is proud to welcome Kitty Trice to Queens of Media, our signature series celebrating the women shaping the voice, direction, and integrity of equine journalism.
In an industry often defined by tradition, the role of women in media hasn’t always been spotlighted—despite their influence behind the headlines, cameras, and commentary boxes. Queens of Media is here to change that. This series doesn’t just highlight women doing exceptional work—it documents a shift in tone, leadership, and storytelling across the equine world.
Kitty Trice embodies that shift.
Currently a Bloodstock journalist at the Racing Post, Kitty’s story began not in a newsroom, but in the show ring. Having competed at a high level in her youth, she brings a rider’s eye to every word she writes—grounded in experience, not just observation.
She joined the Racing Post in 2017, cutting her teeth on the news desk before transitioning to the bloodstock team in 2020. Since then, Kitty has profiled some of the most respected names in the business, including Kirsten Rausing, Julian Dollar, Sam Bullard, and Georges Rimaud. Her interviews are known for their depth, clarity, and quiet authority—striking a rare balance between industry insight and narrative feel.
But Kitty’s work extends beyond the page. In 2019, she rode in the Magnolia Cup at Glorious Goodwood, putting herself quite literally in the saddle at one of racing’s most celebrated charity events. It’s that blend of personal grit and professional elegance that makes her voice so vital to the evolving media landscape.
Queens of Media is not about tokenism. It’s about timing. The equestrian world is entering a new chapter—more inclusive, more thoughtful, and more in tune with the people who tell its stories. With each feature, we’re building a mosaic of leadership, perspective, and passion.
Kitty Trice is not just part of that story—she’s helping write it.
And this Monday, you can hear from her directly. Kitty will be live with Muireann on the Equitas Instagram at 8PM, diving into her journey, her mindset, and what the future of racing media looks like from her seat. Don’t miss it.
This is Queens of Media. And Kitty is royalty.
