You don’t need the spotlight.
But you do deserve the recognition.

Because in every warm‑up ring, every prize‑giving photo, every well‑prepared horse… you’re there.
Not just as part of the background.
As a skilled, experienced, essential part of the team.

And you always have been.

You Know the Horses Better Than Anyone

You know when they’re not quite themselves.
You notice what’s been missed.
You anticipate problems before they happen.
You keep things running when plans shift, when travel is long, when the schedule never stops—because the job doesn’t.
That kind of work takes more than dedication - it takes consistency, professionalism and a huge amount of pride.

This Is Not Just a Job, It’s A Role That Deserves Respect

Being a groom isn’t something “behind the scenes.”
It’s part of the scene.
Your care, your attention, your presence: they matter.
Horses perform. Riders compete. Teams win. But they do so because you’re doing your job well.
You bring experience, patience and stability in a way that the sport can’t function without—whether you are working locally or travelling the world.

You’re Part of a Global Community

You’re not alone.
Across countries, disciplines and yards, there’s a network of professionals working with horses, travelling, training, delivering results.
Organisations such as the International Grooms Association (IGA) exist to recognise you, to support you and to give you a voice in the industry.

Together with the British Grooms Association (BGA), which provides tools, education and well‑being support for grooms.

These organisations remind us that your role is respected, valued and increasingly visible.

This One’s for You

There’s a lot that goes on in this sport that doesn’t get talked about enough—and often, the people at the centre of those unseen moments are grooms.

So this isn’t a campaign.
It’s not a request.
It’s not a demand.

It’s just this:
We see you.
We value the work you do.
We know how much it takes to do this job well, and how rarely it gets recognised for what it truly is.

So, if no one’s said it lately…
Thank you.
