Equitas is proud to announce that Nicola Fitzgibbon, an accomplished rider, sport horse producer, and equestrian coach, will join our International Women’s Day online event on March 8th. Nicola’s extensive expertise and clear commitment to the fundamentals of horsemanship make her a highly valuable addition to our programme. With a strong record in sourcing, producing, and coaching quality young horses, her insights are sure to benefit everyone from competitive riders to enthusiasts seeking a deeper understanding of equestrian practice.

Based at Langara Stables in Co. Kildare, Ireland, Nicola combines practical experience with academic achievement. After completing an Engineering degree at Trinity College Dublin in 2010, she balanced her studies with top-level show jumping competitions in the Pony, Junior, Young Rider, and Senior divisions. This dual background in technical analysis and competitive sports has laid the groundwork for her professional career. Nicola has since transitioned into a full-time role in the equestrian industry, where her focus on correct flatwork and fundamental training principles remains central.

At Langara Stables, Nicola’s work spans several facets of the equestrian world. She is responsible for sourcing and producing young horses capable of progressing to the highest levels of competition. Her coaching, supported by an internationally recognised HSI Level 2 qualification, has enabled many riders to enhance their skills and achieve personal goals. Nicola’s practical approach is built on years of hands-on experience and is underpinned by a clear understanding of both equine and rider psychology.

Having previously joined us for a livestream event—which became one of our most watched and listened back to sessions—we are delighted to welcome her back. Her past contribution not only captured the attention of our audience but also delivered actionable insights that resonated with participants. For this year’s International Women’s Day event, Nicola will share her journey, discuss the challenges she has faced in her career, and outline practical strategies for success in equestrian sports. Attendees can expect an engaging session that covers topics such as perseverance in training, the importance of foundational skills, and the benefits of continual learning in both riding and horse care.

Equitas is committed to promoting fairness, equity, and professional growth within the equine industry. Nicola’s participation underscores our mission to provide a platform for influential leaders who contribute to shaping the future of equestrian sports. Her balanced perspective and clear, methodical teaching style offer valuable educational content, ensuring that the session is informative for both newcomers and seasoned professionals.

We invite all equestrian enthusiasts, industry professionals, and supporters to join us online on March 8th for an event that promises to be both enlightening and practical. Nicola Fitzgibbon’s presentation will not only highlight the essentials of proper training and competitive preparation but will also serve as a testament to the rewards of commitment and excellence in the equestrian world.
